¿Cómo se clasifica la energía emitida por el mar?

Para este tipo de energía renovable, existen distintas formas de cómo aprovecharla, y a continuación las detallamos: 

• Energía de las corrientes: recogen la energía cinética producida por las corrientes marinas. 

• Energía de las olas: aprovecha la energía que se produce por el movimiento de las olas para que así se pueda generar electricidad. 

• Energía de las mareas: utiliza el descenso y ascenso de las mareas para permitir la entrada y salida del agua de las instalaciones que generan esta energía y así obtener electricidad. 

• Energía Maremotérmica: aprovecha las distintas temperaturas del mar, donde difiere entre la superficie y el fondo, para que con este intercambio de temperaturas se pueda crear energía. 

¿Existen plantas generadoras de energía a partir de la energía del mar? 

Para muchos, este tipo de proyectos energéticos son inviables. Sin embargo, sí se pueden observar ejemplos de plantas generadoras de energía a partir de energía del mar. A continuación, podremos ver tres claros ejemplos sobre ello:
